Whether your goal is to get stronger, lose weight, feel healthy, or gain self-confidence, I'm here to help YOU!  I work with a wide range of clients, from those who want to manage pain from old injuries, to those looking to improve their performance in athletic competitions, and everyone in between.

I'm a mom to three boys, huge animal lover, and a "work hard, play hard" kind of person.  My true passion is helping women take charge of their lives through strength training, and working with pregnant and postpartum moms on their fitness levels.  

My personal  training credentials and degree compliment each other in helping you to modify your behaviors to create lasting, sustainable changes in your life.  Every program is customized for the specific client - there are no quick fixes or fad workouts - we're in it for the long game!  

If you're looking for a personal trainer who's compassionate, understanding, encouraging and perhaps a bit witty and sarcastic, you've found your gal!

Joining Karen's Beginner Strength Training Class was a smart decision for me. It has supercharged my motivation to get stronger and healthier. I have learned many new (to me) very effective exercises that I actually enjoy doing, believe it or not. Karen has such a nice personality and is very encouraging.

The class is not intimidating at all, but with Karen's expertise, we get a great workout.
I like the small group atmosphere. Doing this with a few other women makes it fun but Karen is still able to give us personalized attention. If you're not able to do a particular movement, she will modify it for you. We all agree we have made true progress in just the 8 classes we have done so far. Thank you, Karen!!!

EXCELLENT CHOICE!

Karen was such a thoughtful trainer taking time to understand each student's needs and challenges. She spent time explaining the benefits of the various work-outs. She changed up the work-out for every one of the 8 sessions so it never felt stale. She even put together an "at-home" work-out we could do on the weekends. She encouraged us to push ourselves but understood when some specific exercise was too hard and offered an alternative. She pointed out our progress and helped us feel proud of our accomplishments. Without reservation, I recommend any training with Karen!
